Correct way to use a dental floss
Daily cleaning teeth with dental floss removes dental deposit and remains of food from interdental spaces and from under the gum edge.
1. Pass a 45 cm long floss around your middle fingers of both hands and stretch tightly its section of 2.5 cm length.

3. It is obligatory to clean with floss the area behind the last tooth. When passing from one tooth to another, unbind and use a clean floss section each time.
|
2. Insert the floss between teeth. Gently move the floss up and down several times around teeth and along the gum edge pressing the floss to one and then to the other tooth. |
|
4. Clean with floss the areas around bridge crowns and under dummies with the aid of an appliance for pulling the floss thread. | During first several days of using floss the gums may be sore and bleed. If bleeding does not stop in a week’s time, call to your dentist. If you fail to handle the floss, ask the dentist how to use a special floss holder or other appliances for cleaning interdental spaces.
