The most frequent complaints that urge a person to step into the dentist’s parlor are toothache, gum bleeding, unsatisfactory and non-esthetic appearance of, mainly, front teeth, and… bad smell from the mouth which is unpleasant for the patient and those around him. Surprisingly, but it’s a fact that one of the most important and widely spread problems that our patients face is a bad smell from the mouth which is sometimes quite ignored by practitioners.
There exist quite simple measures of oral hygiene, for instance, mechanical cleaning of the back of the tongue with a special brush to remove deposit, and application of anti-bacterial oral gargles that eliminate unpleasant smell to a considerable extent and appreciably improve the patient’s condition.
