Therapy

Beautiful fillings mean healthy teeth. Treatment of caries still holds the first place among a wide range of services that patients seek from dental clinics. While it is possible to stop caries at initial stages of development by special treatment of the tooth surface (e.g., with fluorine-containing solutions), it is required to remove the affected tooth tissue and fill the resulting defect at later stages. A question is often asked: what type of filling is better? Are there any novel original methods to treat caries? Nowadays the fillings made of light-hardening materials are most popular. They are sufficiently strong, can be matched to the tooth colour, are polished easily and do not change their colour with time. High adhesion (attachment of the filling to the wall of tooth cavity) and excellent esthetic properties allow «artistic» restorations of teeth, making it possible to lengthen or widen the tooth, change its colour or close gaps between teeth.

As for children, it is better to choose glass ionic cement that is a unique filling material. Being attached to dentine and enamel, it gives off fluorine which stops caries development. Use of GIC allows of sparing preparation so that a child’s visit to a doctor becomes even pleasant.

Modern fillings must meet the following requirements: repeat anatomical shape of a tooth, attach strongly to dentine and enamel, withstand chewing loads, be undistinguishable from the tooth colour and, above all, preserve all mentioned properties for a long period. Dentures

Teeth whitening

If a teeth treatment quality does not cause any doubts, it is proper time to pay attention to whitening. By the way, only natural teeth can be blanched while crowns or fillings will not change their colour and have to be replaced after whitening.

If teeth are covered with a deposit, we offer you a professional cleaning procedure. An ultrasonic method of cleaning teeth is particularly popular. A scaler operating in the ultrasonic mode is used to remove hard deposits from teeth and afterwards the teeth surface is polished with the aid of a mechanical brush and a professional cleaning paste. After such procedures teeth of chronic smokers and coffee drinkers become much lighter and many patients prefer to stop at this very stage. It is advisable to upkeep the obtained result with the aid of gels and pastes containing whitening substances and enzyme supplements. It is quite another case if you are no longer happy with the natural colour of your enamel and wish to change it notably. So as to clarify your enamel by several tint grades, one may resort to a mouthguard method of cleaning (chemical whitening). A doctor takes casts from a patient’s jaws and gives the plaster casts to the dental laboratory where an individual mouthguard (jaw mold) is made. Anesthesia

Dentists of the clinic command all kinds of local anesthesia and apply only world-renowned and time-tested anesthetics of French and German producers. A particular anesthetic is selected individually for each patient. Before proceeding to anesthesia, your arterial pressure and the pulse will be measured. At high arterial pressure the doctor will apply the anesthetic containing a minimal dose of vascular suppressor and, possibly, recommend taking tranquilizers prior to treatment.
